what we do...

cultivating backyard botanicals

oh hi

born from a love of natural dyeing, backyard botanicals started in our founder's very own 'backyard' in christchurch, new zealand. 

over many years, her natural dye journey developed into a passion for growing dye plants and spreading knowledge of their  numerous uses. going forward, we are dedicated to sharing that knowledge and inspiring others to connect with their green spaces, whilst reaping the many physical and mental benefits that brings.
